PAPAYA

Papaya, (Carica papaya), succulent fruit of a large plant of the family Caricaceae. Papayas contain high levels of antioxidants vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Diets high in antioxidants may reduce the risk of heart disease.  It is a tropical fruit and grows well in regions where summer temperature ranges from 35°C – 38°C. Deep, well drained sandy loam soil is ideal for cultivation of papaya.
